Bob enjoys the privilege of serving on the Classis Resource Team. He has served as a delegate since 2004. His passion for serving the body of Christ in a leadership role began when he was ordained as an elder in 1982 at Our Lord’s Community Church in Oklahoma City, OK.

In addition to being an elder, he was elected to serve as Vice President of Consistory for several years. His gift of teaching has given Bob the privilege of teaching Bible classes throughout his lifetime at Our Lord’s. He was also called to be a Preaching Elder since 2007.

Bob received his Bachelor’s Degree from Central College in Pella, Iowa and his doctorate from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. In 1977, he began his career in the Department of Physiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. During his career he served as Professor and Chair for 25 years. He presently has retired as George Lynn Cross Research Professor Emeritus.
